Video Transcript:

Hey folks. Rob Morrin with Morrin Law Office, your Kentucky personal injury lawyer. I want to talk to you about whether or not you should talk to the insurance companies after you’ve been in a car accident. So most people have signed an insurance contract with their insurance company where they promise to cooperate and report to that insurance company. So if it’s your insurance company, you need to go ahead and report the wreck, report the accident, report your injuries and talk to them and make sure that they’re in the loop because you have agreed to do so in your insurance contract.

Now, if the other insurance contacts you, the other driver’s insurance, the driver who caused the accident, if they contact you and say, “Hey, would you do us a favor and just give us a good understanding as to what happened here? We’re just going to record this. It’s not a big deal.” Don’t do that. Don’t provide them a recorded statement. I promise you, they’ve been trained to ask you questions in a way to get answers that they can either manipulate or misinterpret, and give them a reasonable basis to deny your claim or to pay pennies on a dollar. Don’t even talk to them. Tell them you want to talk to an attorney first. If it’s something where I can get involved and advise you and tell you what to do without you hiring me, I certainly will. If it’s something where I can add a lot of value if you retain me, I’ll let you know that too.

I offer free consultations where I can talk about the added value and the process and whether or not you should be talking to these insurance companies. I want you to make the best informed decision that’s best for your bottom line.
