Hey, folks. Rob Morrin here with Morrin Law Office, your personal injury professional. I want to talk to you about what happens when you get pulled over. First of all, pull over, turn your hazard lights, hands on the wheel, windows down. Okay. That way, the officer can see into the car and can understand that he or she is safe when they approach your vehicle. You want to decline any searches, unless they have a search warrant. You want to decline any field sobriety tests because there are certain legal arguments we can make in terms of those tests later on. The main thing is be respectful. Be aware that the officer is unsure as to who you are, unsure if they’re safe. Remove all doubt. Hazard lights on, hands on the wheel, windows down.
